Sourced from a Helderberg foothill vineyard in Stellenbosch, this Cabernet Sauvignon grows in well‑drained granite soils with shale and sandstone inclusions. These naturally limiting conditions moderate vine vigour and enhance concentration, resulting in a wine with fine tannins, bright acidity and a classic expression of cassis, graphite and subtle spice.
Produced in small batches, the wine was vinified with a gentle, hands‑on approach to preserve fruit purity and site expression. Controlled fermentations and regular manual punch‑downs ensured refined extraction, while 18 months in second‑ and third‑fill French oak added savoury complexity and subtle spice, complementing the wine’s dark‑fruit core and natural freshness.
